Anyone who misuses medication or uses an illegal drug has a strong chance of developing serious substance problems. You run the same risk if you repeatedly drink large amounts of alcohol. What’s more, many affected people do meet the criteria for full-blown addiction. Our Duluth drug rehab center is here to help.

Do you need help with drug or alcohol problems in Duluth, Georgia? Turn to the nearby rehab professionals at Atlanta Recovery Place (ARP). Our Outpatient Programs at Our Duluth Addiction Treatment Center

Most people with substance problems can recover as outpatients. That’s important since outpatient care can make a better fit for your typical day-to-day routine. At our Duluth addiction treatment center, you’ll find all three types of modern outpatient treatment:

  • Routine or standard programs
  • IOPs, or intensive outpatient programs
  • PHPs, or partial hospitalization programs

The format of each of these programs is essentially the same. The key difference is how much time you spend at our treatment facility. Our routine outpatient program gives you up to eight hours of help each week. Participants in our intensive outpatient program get nine to 19 hours of support at our Dunwoody facility. Partial hospitalization participants receive 20 or more hours of help.

What are the entry criteria for each program? To participate in any of them, you must have:

  • A generally stable home life that helps you stay sober between your scheduled treatments
  •  Friends or family who can actively support your sobriety efforts

People who meet these criteria and are mildly affected by substance problems typically enroll in our routine outpatient program. You’re a good candidate for our intensive program if you:

  • Have moderate or moderate-to-severe substance problems
  • Are generally in stable health

Our PHP is also for people with moderate or moderate-to-severe problems. However, those enrolled are not in generally stable health.

What We Offer

Additional Options for Your Specific Recovery Needs

Most people who enter substance rehab are dealing with factors other than the severity of their drug or alcohol problems. These factors may be related to your:

  • Gender
  • Sexual orientation
  • Occupation
  • Age

Considerations such as these may have a significant impact on your recovery needs. If they go unaddressed, you may have lower odds of reaching your sobriety goals. In contrast, if they are addressed, your chances for recovery success may increase. These facts explain why ARP features outpatient services specifically designed to help:

  • Women
  • Men
  • Duluth residents who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or queer/questioning
  • Busy professionals
  • First responders
  • College students

Each of these groups receives the targeted focus they need to maximize the benefits of their rehab experience. To find out more, talk to our knowledgeable staff today.

Your Treatment Options for Alcohol and Drug Rehab in Duluth

At ARP, our outpatient programs for drug rehab in Duluth feature various high-quality, evidence-based treatment options. Most of those options are forms of psychotherapy. The therapy we use most often is cognitive behavioral therapy. This option is popular, in part, because it focuses on practical ways to maintain your sobriety. It also takes less time to complete than some other common therapy options.

If you need help overcoming any resistance to the rehab process, you may benefit from motivational interviewing. This therapy is designed to help you strengthen your commitment to improving. Need added incentive to meet your rehab goals? We recommend contingency management, which provides rewards when you keep your recovery on track. In addition, we offer options such as family therapy, music therapy, and art therapy. Your choices also include animal-assisted treatment and yoga therapy.

Do you need help with opioid or alcohol problems? We can add another layer of recovery support in the form of medication. The combined use of medication and therapy is commonly known as medication-assisted treatment (MAT).
