Therapist

Steven is currently an associate licensed professional counselor.  He was born and raised in the Atlanta area, but moved to Auburn, Alabama for college where he received his Bachelor’s in Sociology.  After this he moved back to Atlanta and received his Master’s in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling.  Steven has worked in various settings including two DUI courts, community service, a psychiatric hospital, and as a jail mental health screener, before joining ARP.

Throughout his employment, Steven has worked with people aging from their early teens through late adulthood.  During this, he has carried one fundamental aspect with all his patients that he continues to believe and act on today: no matter the symptomology, we are all human beings that are valuable and worthwhile.  This has been vital in his approach towards helping others find their potential and overcoming whatever obstacles are hindering them from achieving this, be it addiction, suicidal depression, unresolved trauma, or any sort of stigma caused from life transitions such as dropping out of college.

Outside of work, Steven is active in martial arts training, spending time with friends and family, and enjoys hobbies such as origami, listening to music, and attending sports events such as Atlanta United soccer games.

We are open & here to help.
